Workshop Topics
This workshop will
provide introductory instruction for the development of clinical applications
of aquatic therapy for infants and preschool children. The course objectives are:
indications & contraindications for treatment, referral & assessment,
hydrodynamic principals, altered
body shapes, adjustment to the water, introduction to the Halliwick® method and
Watsu ®treatment techniques, aquatic therapy equipment, instructional pool
games and kinesthetic movement exploration. This course is intended for allied health care professionals
who provide aquatic rehabilitation and learning experiences to pediatrics with
special needs.
